Jarrett Hiebert, a yachting professional with extensive yacht sales and yacht operations experience, has joined Merle Wood & Associates as a yacht broker. Hiebert will focus on assisting clients from around the world with the full spectrum of yacht sales and yacht charter services.
I look forward to providing the absolute best in yacht brokerage and yacht charter services to past, present, and future clientele as part of the dynamic team at Merle Wood & Associates.
Originally from Canada, Hiebert began his yachting career at a young age when he joined a yacht management company in Vancouver, British Columbia. Shortly thereafter he started working on a superyacht and subsequently spent the next 17 years traveling the globe while working aboard some of the industry’s largest private and charter yachts.
During this time, Hiebert’s experiences encompassed every aspect of yacht maintenance, engineering, safety, and crew management. In addition, he also completed various major refit and new build projects. This provided him with intimate knowledge regarding multiple facets of the yachting industry ranging from vessel servicing to their operations and business management.
Upon moving back ashore, Hiebert made the natural shift into yacht sales, where thanks to his vast experience, he is able to lead his clients through each stage of ownership; from finding the right yacht, professionally handling the purchase, overseeing refit projects, finding insurance, crew placement assistance, and shore side support anywhere in the world.
Hiebert is a member of the International Yacht Brokers Association and lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
